Upon completion of her studies in education, she became a teacher and a certified member of the Ontario College of Teachers for over 10 years.
Mandy’s story begins like most professional mothers. She wanted to have it all – The husband, the children, the dream job and the beautiful home in a great neighbourhood. Mandy thought she was doing everything right. She got up at 5 am to work out, ate a nutritious breakfast, got her children ready for school, commuted to work where she inspired little minds to achieve greatness, came home, prepared a very satisfying meal packed with goodness, spent time with her children and husband and, once the kids were in bed she did the usual chores before going to bed. The problem was she was a perfectionist who was swimming in a fog of constant business and stress, making no time for herself. The busy, hectic pace finally took a toll on her health. She developed digestive issues as well as food and environmental intolerances.
Wanting to heal from her ailments and manage her intolerances, she spent a lot of time reading about digestion. Through an elimination diet, she discovered she was intolerant to wheat and very reluctantly removed it from her diet. She felt better and, within a couple of weeks, she was feeling like her old self again. Instead of changing her lifestyle to lower her stress levels, she continued to strive for perfection in every aspect of life. A few months later, she was sick again and developed multiple food sensitivities. She added dairy, rice, oats, walnuts, beets and food additives to her growing list of do-not-eat foods.
This led Mandy to enroll at the Institute of Holistic Nutrition, where she learned the fundamentals of nutrition and the importance of making lifestyle changes to reduce stress. She graduated with First Class Honours and was nominated Valedictorian. It was also during this time that she was first exposed to the world of BioEnergetics and immediately knew that this could not only help her, but many others.
Following the complete relief of her symptoms, Mandy trained at the Institute of Natural Health Technologies to become a Registered BioEnergetics Practitioner. Mandy is now a proud member of the INHT team and is currently practicing at their flagship clinic, The BIE Clinic, located in Oakville, Ontario, Canada.
